We provide a wide range of services including :

  • A National Helpline (0870 770 3306) offering advice and support

  • Befrienders, who can support parents at meetings and through the assessment procedures. Befrienders are trained in the understanding of the Code of Pracrtice and Education Law relating to it

  • Termly Newletters keeping members up to date with changing legislation, news relating to special legislation and an events diary.

  • Publications including our Parents Guide - a user-friendly guide designed to help parents and those working with parents.

  • A range of free leaflets

  • Befriender Training Courses. Four training weekends are run each year and are designed for parents, voluntary organisations and professionals. Courses are free of charge.

  • Conferences - We hold a National Conference each Spring and assist our groups in planning local conferences and workshops.

  • Independent Parental Supporter Training - We are able to run training sessions as part of IPS training offered by Parent Partnership Services and Local education Authorities.

  • Advice on Administration relating to the 1996 Education Act and Code of Practice 2001 to be carried out in all schools.

  • Advice on communication with schools and Education Authorities.
